Benefits
The ReStore gives all profits to North Star Habitat for Humanity affiliates to build more houses for our community.
Receiving our merchandise by donation, we are able to offer discounted prices, making building materials available to families who might otherwise not be able to afford them.
By recycling goods that would have been sent to a landfill, the ReStore helps reduce waste disposal costs and protect the environment.
Donations
Why throw things out when you can help the environment and your community by giving them away? The North Star ReStore is currently accepting donations of:
* Sporting Goods
* Household Items
* Building Materials
* Furniture and Fixtures
* Appliances and Computer Parts
* Books, Boardgames, Movies and Music
Sorry, but we are currently not accepting:
* Clothing (try the local Salvation Army Goodwill (linky))
* Vehicles
* Items in need of repair
Though we don't normally take vehicles, we currently have need of a flatbed truck and delivery truck.
Limited pickup is available for your donation. To arrange pickup or find out how to volunteer, call (906) 632-6616.
Other Services
We can store your RV or boat in a fenced and locked yard in town for $20 a month.
